Hana Kim 김 한나
Hana Kim is an illustrator and ceramicist born in the East coast of South Korea and is currently living in her home in Toronto, Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Design and majored in illustration from OCAD University. Hana focuses on creating work that evokes a lyrical and poetic message while cultivating sense of healing and softness within her visual imagery. She uses her artistic practice to fortify her cultural roots, retell personal stories of intimate experiences and integrates her devotion in the scared relationship with the spirits and her ancestors. Through her years of illustrating, Hana began exploring with ceramics to fulfill her desire for tactile creative expression. Hana has then evolved her creative practice that embraces both illustration and ceramics and hopes that each piece that she creates narrates a unique story for someone that receives it.
